We request access to your device's location to automatically detect your nearest Australian city and provide accurate local weather forecasts.

How We Use it Location Data:

- Location data is used solely to determine your nearest city from our pre-defined list of Australian locations.

- Your location is processed locally on your device.

- We do NOT store, transmit, or share your location data with any third parties.

- We do NOT track your location movements or history.

- Location data is never used for any purpose other than determining your nearest city for weather display.

Your Control:

- Granting us with location permission is optional.

- If you deny location permission, the app defaults to showing the weather forecasts for the default location of Sydney.

- You can manually select any Australian city from the dropdown menu at any time.

- You can revoke location permissions through your device settings.

Third-Party Services.

The App integrates third-party SDKs (Google AdMob, React Native libraries) that may process limited, non-personal data necessary for functionality and analytics.

Google AdMob.

Our App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. We have configured AdMob to request non-personalised ads only.

Information that AdMob may collect includes:

- Device ID for admob advertising and analytics.

- Device information (device model and/or operating system).

- Ad interaction data.

- General location information (at the country/region level, not the precise location).

- IP address.

Note that we do NOT share your location data with AdMob or any other advertising service.

React Native and Associated Libraries:

Our App uses React Native and related libraries for the weather app's functionality:

- geolocation (for location detection).

- google-mobile-ads (for advertisements).

- svg (for graphics).

These libraries do not transmit personal information to external servers beyond what is documented in this privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security:

- The Application does not maintain any user accounts or profiles.

- Weather data is temporarily cached on your device for display purposes only.

- No personal information is transmitted to our servers.

Children's Privacy:

While our App requests non-personalised ads by default, you can more directly control ad personalisation through your device's settings:

Data Retention.

- Location data is not retained (and it is used only momentarily to determine your nearest city).

- Weather data is cached on your device temporarily and automatically refreshed when you use the application.

- No historical data is stored.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.

International Data Transfer Disclosures.

Weather data requests (ie, for city co-ordinates) may be transmitted internationally. Google AdMob services may also involve international data transfers as is described in Google's privacy policies.
